AT TPS the welfare and safety of our pupils is our absolute priority and ensuring the physical and emotional well-being, safety and health of our pupils underpins all that we do.
We have robust and rigorous recruitment processes to ensure staff are suitable to work with our pupils. Staff receive regular safeguarding related training, including digital safety and our Safeguarding Leads work closely with the Kingston & Richmond Safeguarding Children Partnership to keep their skills and knowledge up to date. All our safeguarding related policies are strictly monitored and reviewed to ensure our staff are receiving current best practice advice.
Digital safety of our pupils is assured through Smoothwall, providing real-time content aware web filtering, pro-active monitoring of on-line risks and an audit trail of potential child protection issues. All pupils from Reception upwards receive training in on-line safety with annual parental workshops also held.
Safeguarding is embedded across the curriculum to support our pupils and provide them with the knowledge and the tools to recognise and understand acceptable behaviour and raise concerns when this is not met.
