50th Anniversary

Celebrating 50 Years of Twickenham Prep School

1969 is not only notable as the year of that one small step for man but it was also the year when a group of eight children met in a Church Hall on Twickenham Green for the first time.

In 1969, Twickenham Prep was launched and in October 2019 we celebrated this special anniversary with pupils, parents, governors, staff and friends of the school, past and present.

We have gone through many changes since 1969 but have never lost that friendly, happy spirit which was present when the adventure began all those years ago.

 

There is much for us to celebrate and we were delighted to be able to mark this special anniversary with many events for everyone in the school community, past and present, to enjoy. It seems appropriate too that 50 years after its foundation, the school was able to further its’ resourcing with the purchase of 51 High Street, Hampton, a substantial building close to the school.

We have recently completed the refurbishment of  The Hub @ 51 as a new Art and DT facility and brand new teaching spaces and facilities for our Yr 7 and 8 boys, including a new tech hub, our Digital Media Suite. This development has significantly enhanced our existing facilities and ensures that pupils will continue to benefit and thrive here for years to come.
