Celebrating 50 Years of Twickenham Prep School
1969 is not only notable as the year of that one small step for man but it was also the year when a group of eight children met in a Church Hall on Twickenham Green for the first time.
Fifty years ago this year, Twickenham Prep was launched and we are looking forward to celebrating this special anniversary with pupils, parents, governors, staff and friends of the school, past and present.
We have gone through many changes since 1969 but have never lost that friendly, happy spirit which was present when the adventure began all those years ago.
There is much for us to celebrate and we are looking forward to marking this special anniversary with many events for everyone in the school community, past and present, to enjoy. It seems appropriate too that this year the school has further developed its’ resourcing with the purchase of 51 High Street, Hampton, a substantial building close to the school.
We are looking forward to refurbishing it to become a new Art and DT facility. This is a development that will significantly enhance our existing facilities and ensure that pupils will continue to benefit and thrive here for years to come.
