Sports Coach (Part Time)

Start Date:                        September 2023/January 2024

Contractual Status:       Permanent part-time contract

Hours:                               1.30pm - 4.15pm (3 afternoons per week)

Based in Hampton, Twickenham Preparatory School is a flourishing, well-resourced and friendly independent co-educational day school for pupils from 4-13 years.

Located in stunning grounds near the River Thames and Bushy Park with direct rail links into London, the School has a reputation for being nurturing and pastorally strong with high academic standards and a broad curriculum.

There are currently c.280 pupils at the school with two classes in each year group from Reception. Small class sizes ensure that each pupil experiences individual attention and bespoke teaching. Our girls leave at 11 and boys at 13, mainly to Independent Senior Schools in the locality.

The Position

An exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Sports Coach to join our Sports Department and support our Heads of Sport in delivering the sports programme to all our pupils from Year 3 upwards.

The successful candidate will be a sportsperson who has played at an advanced level in one or more of the School’s core sports (rugby, football, netball, hockey or cricket).  The expertise to deliver high quality coaching experiences for our pupils is crucial. The ability to engage, motivate and develop our pupils across the full range of sporting opportunities at the School will be key to success. An officiating or coaching qualification is highly desirable. Excellent subject knowledge and effective communication skills will be essential.
