Pre-Prep Teaching Assistant

Based in Hampton, Twickenham Preparatory School is a flourishing, well-resourced and friendly independent co-educational day school for pupils from 4-13 years.

Located in stunning grounds near the River Thames and Bushy Park with direct rail links into London, the School has a reputation for being nurturing and pastorally strong with high academic standards and a broad curriculum.

There are currently c.283 pupils at the school with two classes in each year group from Reception. Small class sizes ensure that each pupil experiences individual attention and bespoke teaching. All of our girls leave at 11, mainly to independent day schools in the locality but most of our boys stay until 13, and sit Common Entrance for a wide variety of Independent Senior Schools. 

The Position

Teaching Assistants make a major contribution to the work of the School by supporting teachers and pupils in a variety of settings and ways. 

This opportunity is based within our Pre-Prep Department (EYFS – Year 2).  The primary role is to work with teachers to raise the learning and attainment of our pupils, while also promoting their independence, self-esteem and social inclusion. Our Teaching Assistants support pupils so they can access the School’s broad and balanced curriculum, participate in learning and experience a sense of achievement.
