Based in Hampton, Twickenham Preparatory School is a flourishing, well-resourced and friendly independent co-educational day school for pupils from 4-13 years.

Located in stunning grounds near the River Thames and Bushy Park with direct rail links into London, the School has a reputation for being nurturing and pastorally strong with high academic standards and a broad curriculum.

There are currently c.283 pupils at the school with two classes in each year group from Reception. Small class sizes ensure that each pupil experiences individual attention and bespoke teaching. All of our girls leave at 11, mainly to independent day schools in the locality but most of our boys stay until 13, and sit Common Entrance for a wide variety of Independent Senior Schools. 

The Position

We are looking to appoint an inspirational, creative and enthusiastic teacher as Head of Art and Design Technology to deliver Art and D&T to pupils aged 7 – 13; ensuring the highest standards of teaching and learning are maintained at all times.  The successful candidate will have the ability to inspire our pupils and assist them in developing their creativity and self-expression through various art forms and design media.

This is a part time maternity cover contract, starting in September 2022. The responsibilities of Head of Department are shared with a job share partner.
