A beautiful spring day and time for Year 4s to do some pond dipping on the front lawn. They were looking at creatures that have adapted to their natural habitats as part of their Science curriculum. The workshop was run by The Wildlife Trust, who brought in a spider crab, an owl, mole and a bat, not real ones! so the children could see how these animals have evolved to suit their environment. They went outside to hold giant morio worms from South America, which caused much hilarity and gently scooped up waterbourne creatures from the pond buckets. They all really enjoyed the session.
