The school is now closed until further notice, staff are here for key worker and vulnerable children and to ensure the smooth running of our online learning platforms.
We would like to thank the many parents who have taken the time and trouble to express and offer their support in such uncertain times. I would also like to thank all of my colleagues and the Governors who have approached this situation in such a brilliant and positive way with that great determination to navigate through these difficulties successfully as quickly as we are able.
I would also like to express my pride in how our pupils approached last week in such a calm and positive way. The strong sense of community and togetherness at the school is something that we all treasure at TPS and although for a while we will be unable to meet collectively together, we will still be conducting whole-school events remotely this week and after the Easter break. We will be having an online whole-school assembly every morning, which I will be taking and hope you will be able to join us for. There will also be a story-time online at the end of each day for the whole school community. In our last assembly we reminded the pupils that, despite the temporary closure of the site, it is still the school term this week and the importance of fulfilling tasks as requested at home by their parents. I know that parents will have a lot of questions around exams and other school matters but please be assured that we will be communicating all necessary information in the coming days and weeks.
