Last week we were delighted to welcome Mr Dilly to TPS for 2 fascinating History workshops about the Tudors and the Romans. Year 4 were taken back in time to the Court of King Henry VIII at Hampton Court, along with some impressive jousting, Mr Dilly also described some of the gruesome ways Tudor law was imposed and the food that the noblemen of the time would like to feast on.
We switched centuries to the time of Julius Caesar who took Year 3 on a journey through Roman times and the expansion of the Roman Empire, telling the story of Remus and Romulus, with the children acting out key roles, which led to the founding of the city of Rome. It was a brilliant morning of workshops!
