Making memories: Our Trips and Activities.
At Twickenham Prep School, we believe that education goes beyond the classroom. Our school trips, themed activity days, workshops and visits from expert speakers provide pupils with unforgettable experiences that enrich their learning and nurture essential life skills.
These activities bring learning to life, foster teamwork and friendships, broaden cultural horizons, and build resilience by challenging pupils in new environments.
They are a cornerstone of our approach to education: blending knowledge, personal growth, and lasting memories.
Taking advantage of our location, students enjoy access to world-class heritage sites, theatres, museums, and cultural landmarks across the South-East, including Hampton Court Palace, the Imperial War Museum, Butser Ancient Farm and Painshill Park to name just a few.
Prep pupils
Each year, our Prep pupils participate in residential trips: Years 3-5 visit a PGL activity centre, Year 6 travel to Burgundy, France, while our Senior boys embark on coastal adventures in Pembrokeshire and historical tours of WWII battlefields in Belgium or France.
Senior pupils
Senior girls and boys also have the opportunity to join our annual sports tour. Recent tours have seen the pupils training with the football coaches of PSV Eindhoven and Manchester City for the boys, Oranje Rood Hockey Club and Manchester Thunder Netball for the girls. These trips offer excellent opportunities for the children to receive top-level coaching and to play local club sides, representing their school.
Expert speakers include the Spirit of the Wild wildlife experience, Spacedome planetarium shows, Loudspeaker public speaking workshops, National Physics Laboratory science talks and a wealth of visiting authors and poets.
