We know that choosing the best school for your child is one of the most important decisions any parent has to make. So we’re here to guide you through…

Our open events are a wonderful opportunity to view the school. We hold events throughout the year – to find out more and book a place please go to our visit us page.

One-to-one visits

Please phone our Admissions Registrar, Joanna Marshall, to arrange an individual visit or discuss the admissions process:

As well as open events, we’re delighted to offer one-to-one visits to meet our Headmaster, Mr Barrett, during school hours. These walk-and-talk tours show the whole school as it functions day-to-day.

Register your child

Our main point of entry is Reception (our only non-selective entry point). Children join Reception in the September after they turn four-years-old. We accept registrations for Reception from birth.

To register your child for Reception, complete and send our admission application form with a £120 registration fee. The form is available when visiting us or from our Admissions Registrar, Joanna Marshall, via email: admissions@twickenhamprep.co.uk.

What next?

When we receive your application, we will send a formal acknowledgement that your child is registered on the entry list.

Parents of children registered for entry will receive a formal offer letter 18 months before their child is due to start school. If registration occurs after this, and places are still available, the family will receive an immediate offer.

To secure a child’s place, parents are required to sign an acceptance form confirming agreement of the school terms & conditions and to pay an acceptance deposit of £1000. The deposit is non-refundable if a child does not take up a place. Otherwise, the deposit is retained by the school until it is credited without interest to the final invoice upon a child’s leaving. The level of deposit is in line with other independent schools, and subject to annual review.

Bursary Offerings at TPS

At Twickenham Prep School, we are committed to making independent education accessible to all deserving pupils. Our bursaries, both full and partial, are available to new and current pupils who may otherwise be unable to attend due to financial constraints or who face unexpected short-term financial hardship. Bursaries are means-tested and applicants may be required to attend an interview with Bursary Administration Limited to verify the information provided.

To apply, current parents should email cshelley@twickenhamprep.co.uk and prospective parents should contact admissions@twickenhamprep.co.uk to register for a place. Please note that only once registration is complete will a pupil be eligible to receive a bursary application form. Bursaries are reviewed annually to take account of any change in circumstances. We believe that a strong, supportive learning environment should be available to every child, regardless of financial situation but, as a small school, our bursary funds are limited.
