Facilities

Twickenham Prep School is located in a Grade II listed building, Beveree, the former home of John Blow, King’s Musician to Charles II. Alongside this historic building which houses the Prep, there are exceptional, purpose built facilities for the Pre-Prep and a dedicated art, design technology and music block. There is a fully equipped science lab, library, and IT classroom. Our new modern sports hall is used for PE and also incorporates a stage for hosting regular concerts and productions.

Pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 have their own spacious, light-filled, purpose-built building providing them with a nurturing and caring environment which supports their transition from pre-school. A brand new addition to the Pre-Prep is the Nature Trail, which provides an inspirational outdoor learning experience based on the Forest Schools model.

We have excellent facilities on site for break-time and PE including an all-weather playground, climbing wall and netball courts, an adventure playground, table-tennis and outdoor chess. An amphitheatre for workshops and drama provides extra outdoor learning space. Sport for pupils in Year 3-8 takes place at Kempton Cricket Club where the children participate in Games afternoons and play football, rugby, cricket and rounders. The girls also play hockey at dedicated hockey pitches a few minutes’ drive from the school. Kempton also plays host to our annual Sports Days and cross-country events. We also use the swimming pool at Sunbury Leisure Centre to provide swimming lessons for pupils from Year 1-5 and hold annual galas at Hampton Open Air Pool.

Twickenham Prep is continually upgrading its facilities, including introducing interactive smart touch-screen boards to all classrooms and refurbishing our catering facilities.
